Ingredients

Scale

For the Garlic Bread Bowls:

  • 4 round crusty rolls (like sourdough or kaiser rolls)

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (optional)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for topping)

For the Spaghetti:

  • 8 oz spaghetti noodles

  • 2 cups marinara or your favorite pasta sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Slice off tops of each roll and hollow out the centers to create bowls.

  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Brush this garlic butter generously inside the bread bowls and on their tops.

  4. Sprinkle with Parmesan if using, then bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and slightly crispy.

  5. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  6. Heat olive oil in a saucepan. Sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes, then stir in marinara sauce. Add cooked pasta, toss to coat, and season to taste.

  7. Spoon spaghetti into garlic bread bowls. Top with shredded mozzarella and more Parmesan.

  8. Return to oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Garnish with parsley or basil and serve hot!

Notes

  • You can prep the bread bowls a day ahead—just toast and store in an airtight container.

  • Perfect use for leftover spaghetti—just reheat and load!

  • Try adding cooked sausage, meatballs, or sautéed veggies for extra flavor.

  • Smaller rolls make perfect party-size bowls.

  • Freezing tip: Toast and freeze bread bowls unfilled for up to 1 month.
